The Oxford Soccer League will be offering a TOPSoccer Program this fall for special needs children, ages 4 to 19, with physical or cognitive disabilities, living in Oxford and surrounding towns. TOP, The Outreach Program for Soccer, is a unique program that focuses on getting kids playing soccer, regardless of their ability, while supporting their family and community. Kids learn about teamwork and cooperation in a fun and safe environment. The importance of physical activity, accepting your body, and living a healthy lifestyle are promoted. Through their involvement, a child's motor skills, self esteem, self regulation, and decision making skills improve. There will be a "Meet and Greet" Informational Session on Saturday, August 16 at 10 am, at Quaker Farms Soccer Field, Oxford, for participants, families, buddies, and interested volunteers.
